HanesBrands and the Georgia Tech extend apparel partnership

Apparel company HanesBrands has extended its current apparel partnership with Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), a deal that sees the company hold exclusive rights to Georgia Tech apparel in retail.

Georgia Tech joins over 25 prestigious universities, such as Florida State, Penn State, University of Michigan, Clemson, and Auburn, in exclusive mass retail agreements with HanesBrands. Additionally, HanesBrands holds primary apparel partnerships with more than 12 top institutions, including UNC Chapel Hill, the University of Cincinnati, Ohio State University, and the University of Georgia.

“We are proud to extend our partnership with Georgia Tech, where we’ve enjoyed a long and successful relationship,” said John Fryer, president of licensed sports apparel at HanesBrand, in a statement.

“Georgia Tech’s fans are passionate about their Yellow Jackets, as well as their school colors of white, gold, and navy. Fans have voiced their desire for more gold apparel, and we’re working with our retail partners to deliver expanded assortments through our iconic brand offerings.”

The extended partnership between the university and HanesBrands was facilitated by the university's exclusive licensing agent, CLC.
