Kering to open state-of-the-art operations center in New Jersey
Global luxury group Kering is building a new operations center in Wayne, New Jersey, to be opened in 2020. The space will be located at a 31.8-acre property and include an 80,000 square-foot office area, a 770,000 distribution center and a 17,500 square-foot repair center for its products.
The new operations center is the result of a substantial reorganization and streamlining of the company’s logistics footprint, Kering explained in a statement. The construction project is the second largest structure in the Wayne township, joining other redevelopment efforts in the area.
With over 35,000 employees worldwide and a revenue of 13.7 billion euros (15.38 billion US dollars), Kering owns several luxury fashion houses, such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Alexander McQueen.
