Los Angeles – Designer Vivienne Westwood is suing Los Angeles-based department chain Kitson.

The upmarket department store, also known as A-List Inc., was sued due to a breach of contract by Rio Bravo Inc., the company that does business as Vivienne Westwood. The British designer, known for her eclectic perspective on high-end fashion, filed the lawsuit on October 2, according to Apparel News. As reported by the publication, A-List made a deal with Rio Bravo for a total sum of 41,363 dollars of clothing last year. According to the complaint filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the company received the goods but did not pay the amount. The case is still in progress as a case management conference is to take place in February of next year.

Kitson currently operates over 18 locations in the U.S. Kitson’s main boutique is located on Robertson Boulevard amongst other high-profile fashion shops. The boutique, which has been open since 2000, has become famed as a contemporary, fashion-forward spot for Los Angeles celebrities. The store offers trendy brands such as Wildfox Couture, Zanerobe, True Religion, and more.
