Komar just announced its acquisition of California-based company BedHead Pajamas. The global apparel products company just took over the luxury sleepwear brand in order to help build out the brand under its portfolio.

Launched in 1990, BedHead Pajamas has been known for its high-quality, fashionable pajamas. Locally cut and sewn in Los Angeles, the sleepwear brand is popular among local customers as well as Hollywood costume designers. With Komar's leadership, the brand is hoping to build out and expand. "Komar has the vision to help us to continue to build the BedHead brand while remaining true to the identity that we've worked so hard to build," said BedHead's Founder and Owner Renee Claire. "We are excited about the possibilities and could not imagine a better home for BedHead."

BedHead will continue to operate as its own business unit of Komar remaining in Los Angeles. Claire will continue to lead the design team in this acquisition. Additionally, the brand's freestanding store in West Hollywood will remain open. The brand will also continue to manufacture its clothing in Los Angeles. With over 100 existing lifestyle brands existing in its portfolio already, Komar welcomes Bedhead Pajamas to its international reach.

"Komar is committed to continuing to foster and grow this terrific brand that she created. We are so pleased to welcome BedHead to our company," president and chief officer Charlie Komar said in a statement.
