Lulus partnered with the nonprofit organization Gyrl Wonder to help create new opportunities for young women of color to pursue careers in fashion, media, and entertainment. The new collaboration aims to support the nonprofit's mission by providing Gyrl Wonder mentees with insights and an initial entry point into the fashion industry through Lulus' professional team.

“At Lulus, the principles of inclusivity, commitment, and continuous improvement are values we abide by and our collaboration with Gyrl Wonder not only reinforces, but brings these principles to life,” commented Crystal Landsem, CEO of Lulus, in a statement. “As a brand, we stand beside women through some of the most important milestones in their lives, and our work with Gryl Wonder is no exception.”

“Together with Gyrl Wonder, we are crafting opportunities, fostering resilience, and empowering the next generation of trailblazing women as they reach new heights. We believe in the profound impact that arises when passion meets purpose, and are thrilled to once again be a part of a movement of women supporting and building up other women.”

“Gyrl Wonder is a movement dedicated to the holistic empowerment of young women,” added Tola Lawal, executive director and founder of Gyrl Wonder. “By marrying our mission with the creative vision of Lulus, we are unlocking new realms of possibility for young women. This collaboration is a testament to our shared dedication to building a future where the elevation of women is not just a trend but a timeless, empowering legacy.”

The partnership between Lulus and Gyrl Wonder is focused on fostering professional growth, offering scholarships, encouraging corporate volunteerism, and more. Some of the key initiatives from the partnership include the Gyrl Wonder Leadership Academy (GWLA), a week-long event in NYC designed for empowerment, learning, and networking; the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11, where influential speakers address the importance of confidence and empowerment for young women of color; the Gyrl Wonder IRL Scholarship Fund, which offers financial relief for college expenses to mentees; and the Lulus x Gyrl Wonder Community initiative, which organizes social change projects like feminine product packing, sock drives, and donations of women’s undergarments, also offering Lulus employees chances to participate and volunteer.

Gyrl Wonder is committed to empowering young women of color by adopting a comprehensive approach to career development. Boasting over 420 active participants, the program aims to open doors to opportunities by focusing on both mental and physical health and wellness, equipping mentees with the skills needed for future careers and opportunities.
