Mad Engine acquired Neff Headwear officially on Tuesday, May 16. Founded by Shaun Neff in 2002, the iconic skate apparel and accessory brand is now joining Mad Engine’s portfolio of brands.

The acquisition will also include Neff joining Mad Engine in a new role. He will add to the company as its chief creative officer, expanding the company’s overall growth. "We're excited to have this opportunity to acquire Neff, a brand we've long admired and feel has significant untapped potential. And, naturally, we're thrilled to welcome Shaun to our Mad Engine team,” said Danish Gajiani, chief executive officer of Mad Engine. “Shaun is a uniquely talented guy with tons of great, actionable ideas, not only for the Neff business, but for Mad Engine as a whole."

Known for his whimsical designs and graphic t-shirts, Neff grew his name through his eponymous, iconic brand. Now, Neff will work at the Mad Engine’s division in Orange County, continuing to spread ideas for the brand with his past experience in accessories and apparel. “[In] this new role, I'm super motivated to bring fresh, out-of-the-box opportunities to the Mad Engine team,” Neff said in a statement.
