QVC Group just announced a new organizational structure and senior executive team to further global growth. The new plan will be effective once Liberty Interactive Corporation completes its acquisitions of HSN, Inc. which will be later on in the year.

"Our new group will bring together QVC, HSN, zulily and the Cornerstone brands to create a premier global retailer with extraordinary reach and unlimited potential," said Mike George, chief executive officer and president of QVC Group. "Together, we will define a new generation of shopping that combines commerce, content, and multi-platform engagement to change the way She shops – all the while retaining the uniqueness of our well-known brands and continuing to build on our distinctive legacies."

The new combined group will broadcast 17 networks into approximately 360 million homes. The group will ultimately attract 2 billion annual visits to their websites and will ship over 20 million packages annually. "The new QVC Group will generate $14 billion in annual revenue(1) and will serve 23 million customers(2)worldwide," said George. "And while we can't be defined by a single platform, we are notably the #3 multi-category e-commerce retailer in North America and the #3 multi-category mobile retailer in the US."

The combined group will include five business units as well as eight global functions. New additions for the business units include Steve Hofmann as president of QVC US, Mike Fitzharris as president of HSN, Lori Twomey as interim president for Zulily, and Claire Spofford as president of Cornerstone. A new leader for QVC International will be announced in the coming months.

For global functions, new executive roles includes Doug Howe as chief merchandising officer for Global Merchandising; Mary Campbell as chief interactive experience officer for Interactive Commerce Experiences; Darrell Cavens as president for New Ventures; Bob Spieth as chief operations officer for operations; Beth Rubino as chief people officer for People, Communications & Community; Karen Etzkorn as chief information officer for Technology, Ted Jastrzebski as chief financial officer for Finance, and Larry Hayes as general counsel for Legal and Compliance.

"These are strong, seasoned executives, drawn from across our businesses, with deep expertise in their respective disciplines and in retail," George said. These new additions will be effective later in the year, with no exact date disclosed yet.
