After gaining recognition for ready-to-wear, Delphine Delafon's namesake line is now in no longer in her ownership. Recently, she announced her departure from the company, stating she would pursue other endeavors.

The designer announced this past Thursday through an email, according to WWD. “I am no longer the designer nor the director of the company despite it still carrying my name and will continue to exist,” the email stated. Through takeover proceedings in court, a former intern actually bought the company through the Paris Commercial Court. The intern's name was not disclosed, as reported by WWD, and he/she is now in ownership of Delphine Delafon's business name.

Now that the line is no longer under her own name, it'll be interesting to see what may or may not happen for the Delphine Delafon name. As Delafon stated, she was not planning to pursue to grow the brand anymore and would work towards other plans, which were not disclosed. Known for her bucket bags as well as Parisian clothing, it's still uncertain whether or not she will pursue fashion in her next project.
