Reshoring Textiles acquires Sans Technical Fibers to expand domestic production

US-based supply chain group Reshoring Textiles has completed the acquisition of American yarn manufacturer Sans Technical Fibers. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Stoneville, North Carolina-based company specializes in the production of high tenacity LDI nylon 6.6 and polyester yarns. Following the transaction, Sans Technical Fibers (Sans) will operate alongside yarn spinner Spinnere as a sister entity within Reshoring Textiles.

Industry veteran John Garner has been appointed chief executive officer of Sans, while Robert Antoshak has been named chief marketing officer of parent company Reshoring Textiles.

Strengthening domestic supply chains for technical applications

The acquisition expands domestic filament manufacturing capabilities for technical and specialty end uses, including sewing thread, narrow fabrics, braided cords, and industrial textiles. The broader product offering allows Reshoring Textiles to supply manufacturers across the apparel, footwear, medical, military, automotive, and rubber products sectors.

“Reshoring is dedicated to helping American textile manufacturing grow,” said Josh Nieuwsma, CEO of Reshoring Textiles. “Customers need reliable long-term domestic sources of the raw materials their products require. Sans gives us an established operation with deep experience in specialty nylon and polyester. Alongside Spinnere, it will help us supply more of those needs from US facilities, and support manufacturers and startups looking to grow and build their businesses here.”

Operational heritage and technological capability

Sans has produced high tenacity filaments in Stoneville for over two decades. Its product line ranges from ultrafine to heavy deniers featuring ultraviolet stabilization and specific dyeing properties. The business expanded into polyester manufacturing in 2017, introducing upgraded extrusion machinery across 2018 and 2024.

With additional extrusion equipment scheduled for installation, Sans plans to expand its polymer processing range.

“Sans has built its reputation on consistent, high-performance fibers,” stated Garner. “Our mission statement: to make it easy to do business in America. We don’t like the word no.”

All Sans products are ISO 9001 certified and manufactured entirely in North Carolina using US-sourced raw materials, maintaining compliance with the Berry Amendment and the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). The business currently exports to clients across five continents.
