Snipes acquires KicksUSA

European sneaker and streetwear retailer Snipes has announced the acquisition of KicksUSA, an American retailer in the same category with over 60 stores in Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York and Maryland. All of those stores will receive Snipes’ brand and signage from May 22. The details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Snipes said in a statement that the acquisition is part of a move to expand its collection of lifestyle footwear and apparel. “With this introduction, we bring the excitement, energy and enthusiasm that the Snipes brand carries from Europe directly to the East Coast," said Sven Voth, CEO, Founder and Managing Director for Snipes.

Founded in 1998, Snipes operates over 230 stores in Europe, carrying international brands such as Nike, Adidas, Vans and Puma.
