Shapewear and lifestyle brand Spanx has partnered with League One Volleyball (LOVB), a leading youth volleyball brand, launching its professional league in the United States later this year in support of young volleyball players.

This is the first time Spanx has partnered with a professional sports brand and league. The partnership sees Spanx providing apparel for LOVB pro athletes for pre-season events and public appearances from this summer onwards.

"As we set out to change the game for the girls and women who play volleyball, we're proud to partner with a brand like SPANX that has long championed women to live their lives confidently," said Katlyn Gao, CEO and founder of LOVB, in a statement. "We share a collective mission to invest in, elevate, and empower women, and we look forward to working together to provide our athletes with the support and visibility they deserve."

The announcement of LOVB’s new partnership with Spanx comes days after the brand announced an exclusive multi-year partnership with sportswear giant Adidas. Starting this season onwards, the German sportswear brand is set to outfit LOVB’s pro and club athletes. Together, the two brands will redesign the volleyball uniform to meet modern athletes' needs.

The fastest-growing sport for girls in the United States, both partnerships aim to provide juniors and professionals with apparel and footwear for on and off the court. Alongside outfitting LOVB pro athletes, Spanx will also support young volleyball players across the country through initiatives benefiting LOVB's youth clubs and tournaments. The partnership sees Spanx investing in athlete storytelling to boost visibility and donating to the LOVB Foundation, which aims to increase access to the sport for underprivileged young athletes.

"With an enduring commitment to elevating women in all that we do, we are thrilled to partner with LOVB, an organization deeply committed to changing the paradigm for women athletes and providing them with the platform they have long deserved," said Cricket Whitton, CEO of Spanx, in a statement. "Through our partnership with LOVB, we aim to introduce a new generation of girls and women to the SPANX brand and support them throughout their journey as LOVB champions the sport of volleyball."

LOVB pro teams in cities such as Austin, Atlanta, Houston, Madison (WI), Omaha, and Salt Lake City will be outfitted in Spanx’s AirEssentials line off the court. These teams include some of the world's top volleyball players, such as Olympic Gold Medalists, NCAA Champions, All-Americans, and international sensations including Jordan Larson,
