The Met has already extended the Manus x Machina exhibit to run through Labor Day, but now, those who want to see the exhibit will have a few extra hours in the day to do so. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced that they will be hosting extended hours for the final weekend of the exhibit.

On Friday, September 2, and Saturday, September 3, the exhibition will remain open to the public until midnight. The Museum, which normally class at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening, will be adding three hours onto its closing time. The exhibition officially closes on Monday, September 5, which is Labor Day.

Manus x Machina to open until midnight weekend before Labor Day

The exhibition, which opened on May 5, already extended its original run from August 14 to September 5. To date, the exhibit has drawn 664,328 visitors, surpassing 2011's Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit, making it the Costume Institute's second most attended show. Last year's China: Through the Looking Glass exhibit still holds the record for the most attended exhibit in the Costume Institute's history with 815,992 visitors. It is also the fifth most attended exhibit in The Met's history.

For the extended hours, the Museum will also be keeping it's Great Hall Balcony Bar open until midnight too. Appetizers, full bar service, and music by the ETHEL and Friends string quartet will be provided. The Met Store will also be open and will feature a range of products dedicated to the exhibit. The galleries for the Manus x Machina exhibit will be the only ones open during the extended hours.
