Edit SwimShow wraps second edition with focus on fall buying

Edit SwimShow concluded its second edition in Miami on Tuesday, bringing swimwear and resortwear brands together with retail buyers for a fall market focused on orders, collection previews and business relationships.
Held over two days at Mr. C Miami in Coconut Grove, the event offered an additional buying opportunity outside SwimShow’s main summer show. Retailers could source core collections and interseasonal styles, discuss immediate and custom orders, and preview spring/summer 2027 ranges.
The exhibitor lineup spanned swimwear, resortwear, accessories, intimates and menswear. Participating labels included Vitamin A, Gottex, Luli Fama, Helen Jon, Sanctuary, Trina Turk, Michael Kors and Sperry Men’s Swim, alongside emerging brands.
A smaller setting for fall orders
Launched in 2025, Edit operates on a smaller scale than SwimShow’s flagship event at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Its hotel setting was designed to give buyers more time with exhibitors and allow closer examination of collections during appointments.
For brands, the October dates provided an opportunity to reconnect with retail accounts and present products between the industry’s larger seasonal markets. The inclusion of categories beyond swimwear also gave retailers a broader assortment to consider in one location.
“In an industry where so much business happens behind a screen, there’s still no substitute for sitting across from someone, seeing a collection firsthand, and having a real conversation. That’s what Edit is about. We’re creating a space where buyers and brands can slow down, connect, and build relationships that turn into lasting business,” said Judy Stein, executive director of SwimShow.
Buyer relationships on the agenda
The commercial focus extended to the event’s SwimTalks programme, where a panel examined the buyer–brand relationship. Moderated by John James Muller, founder of John James PR, the discussion addressed expectations, communication and maintaining partnerships beyond an initial order.
Speakers included Lauren Ucha, a buyer at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts; Sheena Goldhagen, founder of Nā Lei Boho Clothier; Virginia Meloro, representing Gottex; and Russell Kniep, representing Vitamin A.
Alongside appointments and industry discussions, the programme included networking mixers, product personalisation activities and professional headshots. These sessions created further opportunities for attendees to meet outside scheduled buying appointments.
The organisers did not provide attendance figures, order volumes or other commercial results in the post-event announcement, leaving the scale of business conducted at the second edition unclear.
The fall format gives the organiser a second annual touchpoint with retailers sourcing across different delivery schedules and product categories.
SwimShow’s next flagship summer event is scheduled for June 5–7, 2027, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The larger market will follow Edit’s fall edition with three days of collection presentations and meetings for swimwear and resortwear buyers and brands.
