The Fashion District based in downtown Los Angeles hosted the Los Angeles Fashion Market this week. From August 3 to August 6, the several buildings hosted various retailers through their showrooms.

Starting everyday at 9 a.m., the fashion designers spread in all respects of the California Market Center, the Cooper Design Space, and the New Mart building filling several showrooms. Designers included Los Angeles and New York designers that hosted their apparel for old and new customers. Los Angeles-based designers included Alli K., Zero Degrees Celsius, and Tina + Jo. The Los Angeles Fashion Market also featured New York-based designer Kopal. The trade show also featured young contemporary, streetwear, women’s apparel, and more for Los Angeles locals. Each designer had their own signature style, ranging from contemporary streetwear to bohemian chic. Prices varied from designer ranging to approximately 50 to 300 dollars for pieces.

Both the New Mart and California Market Center are known for their showrooms that emphasize apparel and accessories from local designers. Both buildings present hundreds of permanent showrooms throughout their buildings in addition to temporary retailers for events such as Los Angeles Market Week.
