Los Angeles - The Los Angeles International Textile Show comes to the California Market Center every year. This year, the show had a mix of local and non-local brands for its expansive range of textiles.

The LA Textile Show took place from September 26-28 this year. The show areas included the penthouse and A, B, and C wings of the California Market Center (CMC) The textile show was divided into several categories according to the type and style of the textiles.

The show included a vast range of textile categories including trims, decorative accessories, structured, wool, silk, lace, embroidery, luxe, tailored, and more. Additionally, the show also provided print and design services for representatives that attended.

Throughout the duration of the show, there were also various seminars for guests including “Knit Innovations: Performance and Beyond,” “Fashion Technology on the Go!” and “Swimwear/Activewear Design & Manufacturing Insights.” These seminars were meant to help industry insiders with important information on upcoming textiles and other apparel-related information.

There were guests from all over including both the West and East Coast for the LA Textile Show. Attendees at the show included representatives from Current/Elliott, David Meister, Alo Yoga, Trina Turk, Halston, BCBG, Bebe, Joie, and more; as reported by Apparel News. Bringing together high-profile representatives in the same room with textiles and sourcing is a huge way to help propel the fashion economy in the right direction.

Exhibitors for the Fall/Winter show were divided into these groups: European Showcase, Luxe, Tailored & Performance Fabrics, Design & Services, Trims, and Showrooms. Among the exhibitors were MGM Fabrics, The Lining Company, Solid Stone Fabrics, Mokuba New York, and more. As the show is a main source for buyers, manufacturers, and suppliers to connect; the LA Textile Show happens twice a year. This year’s earlier event took place in February-March. It’s likely that around the same time next spring, CMC will host another LA Textile Show.
