Nadine Eismann wins PREMIUM Young Designers Award in the Accessories category

For the international media to pay attention to a designer from Stuttgart is no everyday occurrence. When Vogue Italia, L’officiel Italia, Amica International and Elite Monde Dubai write about Nadine Eismann’s accessories, then, it’s because the capital of Baden-Württemberg is harbouring a little gem. The PREMIUM Young Designers Award has unearthed this jewel by exhibiting the label, which was only set up this year, and promoting it for two years.

Nadine Eismann, a graduate of the Design Faculty at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences who completed a BA in Accessory Design, creates bags that, in their sheer attention to detail, render you speechless. Her complex-looking designs, which she herself creates painstakingly by hand, are also produced sustainably and in an environmentally-friendly way.

Her ‘Kaleidofox’ collection, for example, consists of pieces featuring geometric line patterns that echo the face of a fox. It includes a number of different bags, a stole, a muff and trousers – all decorated with the characteristic, kaleidoscope-like fox’s face. Her ‘La Maravilla Enmascerada’ collection with its selection of masks refers to the luchador of the same name, a professional wrestler who always appears masked. The corresponding bags, crafted in natural leather with elaborate lacing, have connotations of baseball gloves with numerous eyelets and contrast the sport with a sexually-charged, bondage note.

For S/S 2017 Eismann has taken her inspiration from “the gods of Teótihuácán”. She applies complex structures of layered, lasered techno-gel to handily-sized leather bags.
