There will be no Project New York this January. Due to rising omicron cases in New York, with COVID hospitalizations topping 2021 surge levels, Project has decided to cancel its trade show originally scheduled for January 26 and 27. Project’s official reason for cancelling their January tradeshow was “to better serve the menswear community,” but the skyrocketing COVID-19 numbers certainly weren’t helping.

Project is currently still planning on holding its Las Vegas show next month from February 14 to 16, and the July New York show is still planned. Project’s original plan was to return to being men’s-only and showing a scaled-down show at Iron 23 in New York’s Flatiron neighborhood. Last December, Liberty Fairs announced they would be taking a hiatus from the tradeshow calendar as they reevaluate their strategy going forward.

Earlier today, Giorgio Armani announced he would be cancelling his menswear and couture shows this month due to rising COVID-19 cases in Italy. The rest of the Fashion Month calendar is still proceeding as usual so far.
