The Italian knitwear label Roberto Collina is rooted in tradition. Founded in 1953 in Crevalvore near Bologna, the company has always been involved in the manufacture of knitwear that conforms to the highest standards.

The company is based at a stylish Italian country house and offers impressive products featuring internal characteristics such as luxurious yarns and top-quality materials – from mohair to cashmere, alpaca to angora, and from camel hair through to super-lightweight merino blends. Yet the externals of Roberto Collina products do not disappoint either. The design is clean and restrained, but this is probably exactly why it is so well received.

The Autumn/Winter 2016/17 collection is entitled 'The Man on the Hill' and brings the spirit of the Seventies to life again. Tobacco brown, cocoa, brick red and powdery green shades dominate the knitwear brand's palette for next autumn. Mingled with these are camouflage effects, jacquards, dégradé and deep-dye effects. When it comes to knitwear technology, the company has really put its shoulder to the wheel: three-dimensional knit patterns stand out as highlights, particularly on fine knits, and unexpected interludes of plain and purl stitches provide a surprising intentional/accidental effect – the Italians lovingly term this Knitwear 2.0.

With such great love of experimentation, it comes as no surprise that the classics with a modern twist no longer only have fans in their own country, but have attracted aficionados from France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany as well. There are even fans of the art of knitting in Japan and South Korea who have demonstrated their enthusiasm for the Italian craftsmanship.

You can find Roberto Collina at Premium Berlin, located in Hall 4 Stand E-09.
