UBM Fashion Group, which organises trade shows including Magic and Coterie, has announced the launch of a new annual sourcing event, Sourcing@Coterie, which will take place from September 18 to 20 at the Coterie New York show taking place at the Javits Center in New York City.
Sourcing@Coterie will run annually and feature a juried selection of “world-class factories and fabric providers”, with the aim of connecting luxury and designer brands to a curated selection of manufacturers specialising in lower minimums and high-quality production.
The event will feature a VIP selection of factories, from countries such as the USA, Japan, Europe and South America, organisers said, which will be chosen for their appeal to Coterie brands, with all factories going through an application process in which they are evaluated based on certifications, current customers, and industry awards.
There will be a maximum of 100 booths, which will include apparel, accessory and footwear factories, along with fabric mills.
Christopher Griffin, president of Sourcing@Coterie, said: “We are thrilled to be launching a Sourcing event in New York during Coterie. Our brands there have been asking for this, and now they will be able to walk over and meet with some of the best factories in the world, all under one roof at Javits.”
Show partners include Manufacture New York and Designers Guide Expo.
The September Sourcing@Coterie will take place from September 18-20 at the Javits Center in New York City.
