Vans is bringing a cool, New York edge to its shoes. In its latest launch, the Southern California sneaker brand is teaming up with New York-based fashion designer Sandy Liang for a limited-edition collection of footwear, accessories, and clothes.

The collection, which will debut on Feb. 21, features Liang’s signature design approach—which has become known for mixing materials, colors, and print—to bring a bold, youthful take on five Vans Classic footwear styles in addition to apparel and accessories. According to an announcement from the brand, the designer drew inspiration from her hometown Bayside, Queens, her grandmother, and her hand-me-downs from her youth.

“To see my ideas come to life on such an iconic collection of footwear and apparel is a dream come true,” the designer said in a statement. “This collection embodies the playful dreaminess of the nineties, as well as the grittiness of downtown New York City.”

Thanks to Liang’s designs, each one of the footwear styles features key materials such as fleece-like cheetah print and metal jewelry embellishments. The Vans x Sandy Liang collection includes a nine-piece apparel and accessories capsule collection in addition to the five shoes, which is inspired by the ‘90s.

To celebrate the Vans x Sandy Liang collection, an exclusive pop-up shopping experience will be open at The General by Vans retail location at 102 N. 6th St. Brooklyn in New York. Customers will be able to shop the collection as well as pieces from Liang’s ready-to-wear collection from her eponymous line. The pop-up will be open from Feb. 21 through Mar. 15.

The Vans x Sandy Liang collection ranges from 14 USD to 199 USD and will be available online at both Vans’ and Sandy Liang’s websites and at select Vans locations.
