Designer Adam Lippes has collaborated with Target for a plaid heavy collection that has made his high end designs more accessible to the masses. Lippes has long been synonymous with luxury, and while his Target collaboration is at a more accessible price point than his usual luxury offerings, he has not lost the luxurious aesthetic to his designs.

For those male fans of Lippes's work, this collection offers something that he has never done before: men's wear. His women's offerings still retain the same flare of his main line collection. “The mood of the Target collection is the same as I really convey in the main collection,” Lippes was quoted saying to Vogue. “It’s refined, elegant, and elevated pieces that a woman can have in a wardrobe and keep and take going forward."

The collection includes painterly shirt dresses, oversized shapes, are inspired prints, shearling bomber jackets, and pointed-top pumps. The highlight of the collection would have to be the outerwear offerings. One of the signature pieces is a coat based off of a mohair fabric Lippes developed that's a soft pale gray and cream.

Fans of Lippes's work have been worried about how his techniques with fabric development and high-quality finishings would be able to translate into a massive commercial collection, but fear not. Lippes has assured us that his flawless finishes are not lost. “When you look at the finishing of the product, which to me is so much more important than what’s on the outside, they really finished it to a level that is quite incredible. All of the pockets in the coats are all hand chain-linked into the coats; it’s all piped,” he explained to Vogue.

The collection ranges in price from 1 dollar and 50 cents to 129 dollars and 99 cents. Shoppers will have more than 50 items to choose from, and for those who aren't big fans of plaid there are also numerous buffalo check patterned offerings. The collection will hit stores on September 27, just in time for those slow and steady temperature dips that will call for one of Lippes's stylish coats.
