American Apparel launches Loop Terry campaign

As American Apparel returns to the scene, the basics label is debuting a new campaign. Launching for SS18, the Los Angeles-based brand is releasing summer essentials in its signature Loop Terry fabric.

The new collection includes easy-to-wear staples for summer. These pieces were designed for warm-weather lounging with a light-weight fabric, according to a company statement. There are ten styles total for both men and women that infuse an athletic look along with a vintage aesthetic. The collection consist of a range of silhouettes including tees, long pants, shorts, dresses and more. The campaign was shot in Barbados, using the vibrant scenery to reflect the hues throughout the collection. The Loop Terry campaign seems to be a major launch for the brand since its return to retail.

Established original in 1989, this year marks American Apparel's comeback. The brand has always stayed organic with its basics-focused line. After Gildan Activewear acquired the label in February 2017, the brand has expanded with access to Gildan's large manufacturing network. The Loop Terry collection will be available through American Apparel's online store currently.
