At just 17 years old, Amy Mason from Brisbane, QLD, Australia has just made a big splash for herself in the fashion industry by bringing a global bra campaign all the way from Australia to New York City. Mason is featured on a billboard in Times Square as of today where she is attempting to break the stigma over young women finding a supportive and well fitted bra.

Her social account Girls Undercover is all about teaching young women to get fitted no matter what their body type is. Mason's video for the account has already gained thousands of views on Facebook.

She was inspired to do this when she found the numbers for the number of young women under age 21 who have never had a bra fitting. "Statistics show 90 percent of girls under the age of 21 have never had a bra fitting, and 80 percent are wearing the wrong size bra," Mason says. "Teens live on their phones; social media is my generation's way of getting messages out there and what better way to inspire young girls than to share this important message."

While it might sound frivolous to some, wearing the incorrect bra can have health implications, such as breast tissue damage.

Mason is a digital influencer who is very familiar with her area of expertise as well. She grew up in her family's lingerie business, where she says she learned bra sizes before she learned the alphabet. She has always realized the importance of a good fit, and hopes her campaign will help eliminate the fear of getting fitted.

"Everywhere you go, you can see girls wearing the wrong size bra. It is very upsetting when there is an easy solution," Mason says. "For some reason getting a bra fitted is a taboo subject these days and girls don't realise the damage they can do to their bodies."

Her next step is to work on recruiting more digital influencers, youtube personalities and public figures to promote the message that young women need to get fitted for the proper bra. She's saving the world one bra fitting at a time.
