Andre Leon Talley has been a major fixture in fashion for a good thirty years. From his acclaimed career at *Vogue*, to his current role as artistic director of Zappos Couture, the man has broken glass ceilings for Black editors in fashion, interviewed some of the world's most notable celebrities, and has been a go-to expert for all things style and culture for years.
Now, at 67-years-old, the larger than life (he's 6'7'') fashion media personality has been gifted his own documentary that will premiere at Toronto Film Festival. Titled "The Gospel According to Andre," the film premieres next month. Magnolia pictures is already planning a spring 2018 release for the rest of North America.
“André has been an unmissable fixture in the front row of fashion for as long as I can remember, but the story of how he got there has never really been told in an intimate way,” said director Kate Novack to *WWD*.
The film features commentary from acclaimed designers including Tom Ford, Manolo Blahnik and Marc Jacobs. It chronicles his life from working for Andy Warhol until today.
