Los Angeles - As a local gathering for vendors in the Los Angeles community, Artists & Fleas has created quite a name for itself. Due its success in the area, the event recently decided to change from bi-monthly to bi-weekly.

Before, Artists & Fleas took place twice a month in Los Angeles. The flea market, which originated on the East Coast in Brooklyn, will now pop-up every week starting June 4. According to Racked LA, the event will take place on the corner of Abbot Kinney and Westminster Avenue with over 100 designers from the community. In the past, the event would include approximately 70 local talents for apparel, vintage merchandise, and handcrafted goods. Because of its veteran status as a flea market, it’s possible that the weekly change was due to the emerging number of vendors and designers.

Founded in 2003 by Amy Abrams and Ronen Gilmer, the event originated as a place for makers and creatives to show off and sell their work. Starting off in Brooklyn, the flea market has now spread to Chelsea and Los Angeles. The vendor list varies each time, but previous crafters include Trendy & Tipsy, Dizzy Cactus, Bare Bones, Love Meea, and more.
