Los Angeles - Asher Fabric Concepts is delving into new territory this year. Known typically for its cutting-edge, high quality apparel; the activewear company plans to launch a new collection of knitwear with new technologically advanced clothing.
The new clothing line will be entitled “Cool Sport” and will be aimed towards consumers that desire temperature-regulating fabrics. The fabrics will be spun in-house at Asher Fabric Concepts’ manufacturing facility in Vernon, Calif. The new collection will vary from Asher’s normal contemporary sportswear, intimate apparel, and activewear markets because of its new features. The company plans to use high-tech machines during the manufacturing process that can create micro-gauge knits for a smoother product, according to WWD. The products will include a fabric called Woven Knit, also known as W.K. The fabric is adaptable and can be form-fitting for the wearer. “The innovation is in the machine’s ability to utilize air pressure as opposed to sinkers in the way of the past,” Asher Shalom, president of the company, told the publication.
The company was established as a U.S. manufacturer for apparel in 1991. The textile company introduces a variety of fabrics that create contemporary wear, activewear, swimwear, and intimate apparel. With their newest innovative W.K. fabric, the brand will be offering a new array of clothing aimed with a specific technologically advanced concept.
