It’s no surprise that the way of buying fashion has changed drastically in the past year. Aside from e-commerce taking over, smartphone apps have also become increasing more popular. Capitalizing on this new trend, Zumobi recently announced a new app in partnership with Bag Borrow or Steal in order to optimize bag shopping through a mobile experience.

The app is entitled Bag Borrow or Steal and shows off content in a way that is convenient and useful for shoppers. By creating a shopping experience that integrates Bag Borrow or Steal’s blog, Twitter, and Instagram feeds; the company is able to allow customers to shop directly from links in their content. The app differs from a typical experience a user may face, such as finding a desired item through a website and having to forego the process of looking it up and purchasing it through e-commerce. The app allows for a more efficient, condensed way of shopping that is also competitive in today’s technologically growing world.

Zumobi partners with Bag Borrow or Steal for new mobile app for customers

Zumobi came up with the app to fulfill the needs of customers who wanted personalized content. According to a press release from the company, 78 percent of consumers desired that content from brands and retailers. The new app allows for more opportunities to target customers and drive more sales. “Through this partnership, Zumobi is able to take Bag Borrow or Steal’s content to a new mobile audience to help activate their consumers and drive higher conversion rates for their service,” said Marla Schimke, vice president of Zumobi.

Shoppable content is something in the fashion world that has been becoming more common. Although still in its early stages as a trend, it’s something that has a future of growing in the industry through its accessibility. The reason for this emerging trend is because the majority of shoppers are starting to use their phones more and more. Becoming aware of this new way of shopping is part of the way fashion businesses like Bag Borrow or Steal are changing their business tactics. “Our job as a retailer now requires the ability to not only stay ahead of fashion trends, but digital trends as well, as more consumers take shopping habits to their smartphone,” said Robert Treves, COO of Bag Borrow or Steal.

After jumpstarting the app, Bag Borrow or Steal will drive more attention to smartphone users. Since this will be a new audience reach for the company, it will be a new opportunity to convert and interact. By partnering with Zumobi, the company is able to widen its audience without creating a completely new separate app. “With [Zumobi], we’ve creating an engaging way to reach new and exciting consumers with the rich content that vividly illustrates the personality of the Bag Borrow or Steal brand,” said Tad Richardson, principal at Hi Pop! Media, which is a partner company of Borrow Bag or Steal.
