American fashion and workwear brand Banana Republic has partnered with the delivery service company Postmates to bring its customers in New York City and Southern California on-demand delivery. In an announcement from Banana Republic, this comes as an extension for the brand’s Buy Online, Pickup In-Store service, bringing orders to those who may not be able to go to Banana Republic retail locations for pickups. Within a seven-mile delivery radius from Banana Republic locations, deliveries will be free on these orders.

“We are excited to introduce this partnership with Postmates as we continue to offer our customers convenient ways to shop,” Mary Alderete, Banana Republics chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “Our customers are curious, connected and out in the world and we’re offering them a modern retail experience. Same-day delivery is a natural next step for us as we’re seeing continued success with our Buy Online Pick Up In-Store program.”

According to the press release from the clothing brand, the chief operating officer of Postmates shared that clothing orders have increased up to 60 percent. As a result, more retailers will be looking to Postmates to provide quick and convenient delivery to their customers.
