American fashion designer Greg Lauren recently partnered with a timeless brand for a new collaboration. Teaming up with Banana Republic, the two have come together to create a Made in LA Men’s Collection.

With a defined clean aesthetic, Lauren has been able to create a reputation for himself and his designs. His menswear collection use various fabrics with innovative techniques and minimalist designs in order to to create succinct silhouettes. Gap Inc.’s Banana Republic is now tapping the talents of Lauren for the Made in LA Men’s Collection. In choosing the designer, the decision was made due to his design style. “What really interested me in him is: His reference points in his collection are very similar to our reference points,” Michael Anderson, senior vice president of design, told WWD.

The collaboration also comes from a partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The collection spans from tuxedo shirts, cashmere outerwear, high-quality trousers and more. In the Made in LA collection retails at a higher price point than Banana Republic’s average price point. Due to the intricacy in design as well as the manufacturing process, the price points are up to three times as much as the retailer’s. As this collection is more in-depth in design and manufacturing, the price point is somewhat fitting for its pieces. The collection is currently available at various Banana Republic locations.
