Bella Hadid turns designer with first collaboration with Chrome Hearts

Bella Hadid is quickly following in the footsteps of her older sister in regards to a career in fashion. After becoming renown as a model, Hadid is now entering the role of designer in a new collaboration with Chrome Hearts.
In tune with how things are usually announced these days, Hadid took to her Instagram profile to announce the new line. “My new collection with @chromeheartsoffical designed by me...I [can’t] wait for you all to see what we’ve made!” she wrote in the caption of the post. Via the social media platform, she did not announce the dates of the new line, but she stated that it would be arriving “soon.”
Since its establishment in 1988, the leather motorcycle riding-gear company has been a favorite among many in the U.S. Hadid herself has identified with the streetwear label prior to the collaboration, as she has a personal history with Chrome Hearts. According to InStyle, the founders of the brand Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark’s daughter Jesse Jo Stark worked with Hadid for the collab photoshoot.
Chrome Hearts collaborates with Bella Hadid for new collection
In the new collection, it's likely that Hadid will add her own spin on the motorcycle-inspired line. The brand already encompasses an edgy vibe complete with black printed tees, leather jackets, bomber jackets, and various accessories. There’s little information posted about the exact date of the launch, or what the new line will comprise of, but it’s assumable that the line will reflect the same style with an effortless, biker aesthetic.
While Hadid has become somewhat of a style icon, her designer abilities have not yet been put to the test. Gigi Hadid has become a success with Tommy Hilfiger in their collaboration, which launched earlier this year. The two have even come together for more duo projects and collaborations, due to its popularity. If Bella Hadid is successful with Chrome Hearts, it’s likely that a second or third collaboration may be in the future.
