Online tuxedo and suit rental company Black Tux is launching their first collaboration with contemporary brand Ovadia & Sons.

The New York-based designers have created a line of shirts, accessories, and suits available for preorder on the Black Tux site as of this week.

“Since we’re all entrepreneurs and outsiders to the fashion industry, we had a lot in common and got along well,” said Andrew Blackmon, cofounder of The Black Tux, to WWD. “The idea of partnering came about naturally. We’re committed to quality and design, and knew that Ariel and Shimon would want to stay true to that with these designs. Ovadia & Sons is an incredible brand that we think most guys would love to be able to wear. As far as we know, there aren’t any other rental options from a modern brand that does tailoring as well as they do. We hope our customers will enjoy wearing the pieces in this collection — they’re classic and well-made, while still being offbeat and fun."

Shimon Ovadia and his brother and design partner Ariel met with Black Tux and they were impressed by what they were doing. The goal of this collaboration is to offer customers who might not have the money to purchase a tuxedo of their own a chance to wear a designer one, even if it's only for a few hours.

Items in the collection include a tan, notched lapel wool suit, a double-breasted wool and mohair tuxedo, a pleated bib-front shirt, cufflinks, and patterned pocket squares. Price points for the rentals range from 125 dollars to 215 dollars. The collection can be ordered separately or as full looks, and will available through wedding season 2017.

Black Tux has seen promising growth over the last two years. They have raised over 35 million dollars in funding from two separate rounds, and they have also quadrupled the size of their warehouse in California. This month, they opened a brick-and-mortar location at The Tie Bar in Chicago.
