Los Angeles - Suiting brand Bonne Suits is coming to Los Angeles. The label just announced a new collaboration with Iahai International to show off an edgy, vibrant take on professional wear.

Iahai designer Flaka Jahaj partnered with Bonne Suits in order to design four new color ways and designs for the brand. The suits are made partially or completely from knitwear and are hand-crafted. Made in Kosovo in Jahaj's own ateliers, the suits were made by Kosovar women using various knitting techniques that are rooted in the country's culture. "We are very proud of this project, linking up traditional Kosovar knitwear with our Suits and hope to see all our friends [in Los Angeles]," Bonne Suits released in a a company email. The suit collection launch debuts this weekend in Los Angeles at the Karma Gallery.

As Bonne Suits has been known for its unisex suits, the collaboration is a new spin on suitwear. Infusing art and deco aspects into the designs, the suits show off a whimsical, sophisticated feel incorporating a color palette of orange, white, and pink. The suits also feature stripes, squares, and various repeating patterns reflecting an edgy design overall.

Self-identified as the "poor man's suit," Bonne Suits has been established by eponymous designer Bonne Reijn in 2014. Creating suits that could be worn for any occasion, the designer started to create these two-piece ensembles with high-quality materials in every style. Within the last two years, the brand has garnered a popular reputation in its homestead in Amsterdam. By coming to Los Angeles, Bonne gains the upper hand of exposing U.S. customers to this new suiting concept. Whether or not the gallery will prove fruitful for the casual suiting trend remains to be seen, but based on Los Angeles street fashion, it's likely that Bonne could gain more of an International customer base.
