Calvin Klein brings interactive denim series campaign to LA opening ceremony

Calvin Klein, Inc. announced its celebration of their global launch of Calvin Klein Jeans. The new launch included a #mycalvins denim series in which Kevin Carrigan, global creative director of the brand, restyled the jeans with a modernistic, urban flair.

To kick off the new series, Calvin Klein hosted an invitation-only event at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. The Opening Ceremony included founders Carol Lim and Humberto Leon as co-hosts of the evening. The #mycalvins campaign innovates its brand by cultivating a new wave of interaction through its launch. The collection, which offers athletic street style wear, encouraged social media users to use the hashtag when posting photos on any internet platform such as Instagram, Twitter, etc. “At Opening Cermony, we want to bring the customers into our own story and introduce them to what matters to us, and this partnership represents that idea because Calvin Klein was always an important part of our youth,” said Leon. The on-site photo booth provided the attendees with photos to promote with the #mycalvins tag.

The Opening Ceremony was founded in 2002 in New York in order to create a fusion of travel and love to a collaborative boutique. The company has many retailers in New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo currently carrying ready-to-wear menswear, womenswear and more.

Calvin Klein, top fashion brand of menswear and womenswear, created an assortment of iconic tees, sweaters, jeans, and other apparel for the Denim Series styles. The designer pieces range in price from 58 to 348 dollars. After its debut the Opening Ceremony, the company will be available globally through its website on May 15th.
