The Costume Designers Guild Awards (CDGA) announced recently two of its honorees for next year’s annual awards ceremony.

The two honorees include filmmaker Quentin Tarantino in Hollywood as well as costume designer Ellen Mirojnick. Tarantino will be honored with the distinguished collaborator award due to his “recognition of his creative partnerships with costume designers.” Tarantino’s most recent project includes his work as a writer and director for “The Hateful Eight,” which is set for a January 2016 release. Past credits include “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Django Unchained,” “Inglourious Basterds,” and more.

Mirojnick will be honored by the guild for the Career Achievement Award. The guild states that the award is a recognition of her “expansive body of work in film and television.” Mirojnick has won a previous Costume Designers Guild Award (CDGA) for her work on HBO’s “Behind the Candelabra.” She also has received a nomination in the past for Cinemax’s “The Knick.” Her latest project includes a film with Angeline Jolie Pitt as a director.

The CDGA is a notable awards event for Hollywood and fashion. The award ceremony celebrates its honorees with prestigious awards that recognize costume design achievement in film and television. The 18th CDGA Ceremony will be held next year on February 23.
