Starting with the autumn/winter 2015/16 season, Florentine textile manufacturer Centro Seta offers a new \"Made in Italy\" range of silk fabrics called Bacx that has been produced in a sustainable fashion and exclusively in Italy. The company has made sure that all the production steps along the way are transparent and traceable.

“The transparent traceability of Bacx begins at the source - the raw materials - and crosses all the production process all the way to the finished product. ... Everything is Made in Italy with the character, appeal and style that distinguishes Italian culture and Centro Seta’s quest for beauty with style. Innovating today means being able to do so responsibly without giving up anything,” commented Centro Seta’s managing director Roberto Bacci according to Fibre2Fashion.

And Centro Seta has done just that, investing in new eco-friendly ranges that are easy to care for while being sustainable at the same time. The GreenFiber range, for example, utilizes a new silk yarn made from recycled production wastes while the high-tech eco-silk collection Newlife combines traditional silk with Newlife next-generation threads made from plastic bottles that are transformed into a polymer and subsequently worked into a thread through an avant-garde mechanical method.

The new range is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and available in vivid colors.
