The Council of Fashion Designers of American (CFDA) has announced a new donation to community organizations in recognition of this year's World AIDS Day.

In partnership with Mac Cosmetics' Viva Glam Fund and Susanne Bartsch, the CFDA will commit 500 thousand dollars to eight community organizations based in New York. Each organization is identified in conjunction with the New York Community Trust and follows a mission to provide support to those at risk of HIV/AIDS.

The organizations that will benefit from the CFDA's donation include the Ali Forney Center, the Anti-Violence Project, the Audre Lorde Project, the Brooklyn Community Pride Center, the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, the Gay Men’s Health Crisis, the Hetrick-Martin Institute and the Heat Program at the State University of New York.
