Coco Rocha plans to unveil Co + Co clothing line with Paragon Project

At only age 27, fashion mogul Coco Rocha just recently unveiled a new clothing project. Partnering with Los Angeles-based Paragon Project, Rocha is finally launching her own collection.

The new collection will be a contemporary line entitled Co + Co. The line will include sportswear garments and special designs from Rocha herself. Although Rocha is famed for her fashion style throughout the past, this will be her first self-titled collection. “I have always been interested in having my own clothing collection,” Rocha told WWD. Part of the reason Rocha hasn’t designed a line sooner is due to the difficulty associating with models transitioning to designer. “[Sometimes] models are not taken seriously in this field. We’re to pose in the clothing but we don’t’ necessarily have our own point of view,” Rocha told the publication. However, in pairing with Paragon Project, Rocha was able to be very hands-on for the debut of Co + Co.

The styles developed in the sportswear line involve much of Rocha’s personal touch. As brand ambassador, Rocha used her personal style and fashion knowledge for her own fashion line. The collection itself consists of 60 pieces and stays within an affordable price range for her target audience. The prices for her clothing line will stay in between 80 to 300 dollars. The collection will launch online on her eponymous website as well.

Coco Rocha launches first clothing line

Aligned with the clothing launch, Rocha will unveil a new website design as well. Her website will include a web series touching on fashion, technology, travel, and motherhood subjects. All of these areas apply to Rocha’s life in a personal, direct way. With her personal contribution, her website aims to appeal to the modern-day workingwoman, which her following mostly comprises of. Her following on social media, such as Instagram, includes approximately one million followers. Using that influence from social media, Rocha realized the power she has to influence through her own personal branding. Staying attuned to her following, the new clothing launch will also be heavily involved with her social media channels. “We have always focused on social media, and it will also be that way for Co + Co,” Rocha told WWD.

Rocha’s fame mostly comes from her modeling career, where she rose to prominence in the fashion industry. Her breakthrough moment first came in 2006 when she opened the Paris fashion couture show for Christian Lacroix. Since then, Rocha has appeared in various fashion week runways and modeled for a variety of brands such as Balenciaga, Chanel, D&G, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, and more. Currently, this line serves as Rocha’s first clothing launch.
