If there was one thing the Broadway musical "A Chorus Line" never fails to let us forget, everything is beautiful at the ballet. Cole Haan has taken heed to this and has collaborated with New York City Ballet to launch a line of shoes for the fourth season in a row. This fall 2015 collection includes the first Cole Haan ballet flat to feature their ZeroGrand performance technology, which was introduced in their men's line last year.

The ballet flats are the perfect combination of fashion and function, and were definitely made with the ballet dancer in mind. In the creation of the shoe, company dancers Sara Mearns, Megan Fairchild, and Gretchen Smith were consulted about some of the footwear issues that they have experienced. “We actually met with a design, merchandising, and innovation team. Megan, Sarah and I were in the room for a few hours explaining what we need for our feet and our body,” Smith explained to Women's Wear Daily while en route to Washington D.C. for City Ballet’s residency at The Kennedy Center this week.

“I’m happiest when my feet are close to the ground and Sara had a lot to say about shoes and how they affect her back,” she added of the pointers raised throughout this season’s collaboration. Cole Haan gave the shoes a very stylish update for the season, with styles such as snakeskin-embossed leather and metallic silver available. The collection will be available in July and prices range from 138 dollars to 158 dollars.

With ballet flats being a staple in every woman's wardrobe, Cole Haan chose one of most perfect items to do a collaboration for. With NYC ballet being arguably the most prominent ballet company in America, Cole Haan went to the right dancers to inspire a shoe collection as well. It's time to make room for your next pair of flats, because these look poised to be a must have.
