Compassion Brands makes its mark as the first fashion company to launch retail collections in an attempt to end teen bullying. The company in partnership with Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. just announced its launch of Active Kindness in order to incorporate real-time help to teens who struggle with bullying issues.

The collection includes t-shirts that are designed by Compassion Brands and Stony Apparel. The new line consists of six junior shirt sizes from XS-XL varying in different styles and colors available at Bon-Ton stores, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s, and Younker stores. The collection is also available online through Bon-Ton’s e-commerce site. Each t-shirt design features a special message of empowerment including a Teen Line hotline number for advice against bullying. The Teen Line on the t-shirts is based out of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and helps teens with bullying problems and for advice they may need. Some of the messages on the shirts read “Don’t Be a Bully” and “Be Kind to Yourself” in order to further affirm this statement.

The main idea of the collection to help spread a movement through the fashion industry. “Active Kindness is a new brand that I developed to address the epidemic of bullying by inspiring other sand working collaborative with industry leaders to be united in kindness through the art of fashion,” Gigi Yeoman, founder of Compassion Brands, said in a statement. Through these clothes, the company is showing its support towards teens seeking out help when they need it most. This is a direction that Compassion Brands has taken to create a lasting, positive effect on the teen fashion industry.
