Rue107 just announced that its planning to move into activewear this year. Offering pieces in all sizes, the brand is spreading body positivity as well as delving into a new apparel category.

The statement-making brand has decided to move into activewear because of Rue107’s overall message of attempting to better and empower women. After seeing over and over again that customers wanted to feel their best at all times, the idea of an activewear line was produced. “The concept behind adding Active Wear to Rue107's product line is tied to our core principle of making a statement while developing into your best self,” said Marie Jean-Baptiste, founder and chief executive officer of Rue107.

Rue107 offers activewear for the very first time

Ranging from sizes XS to 3XL, the brand is staying true to offering a wide range of sizes for their customers. Broadening their sizes allows for the New York-based company to create beautiful styles that are available to many women all over. Also, the collection was designed with the idea that these pieces can be worn as athleisure apparel. “The pieces can be mixed with ready to wear pieces for an evening out with friends or simply running errands before hitting the gym,” Jean-Baptiste continued. “Their workout clothing has to give them a bit more than just a workout session.”

For this particular collection, Rue107 also chose Necole Kane Fitness Competitor, founder and editor of xoNecole as the brand ambassador. “I love what RUE107 stands for,” she said in a statement. “It aims to represent and create styles for women of all sizes and I love that because Rue107 recognizes that each and every journey is not a one size fit all.” Featured in the campaign, the fitness competitor shows off the new collection’s unique, vibrant prints.

With original prints, the introductory line includes two focal designs: Tarzania and splash. The Tarzania design is African-inspired with a bold pattern. The splash print has yellow and green paint strokes for an artsy design. These prints will be available options such as a one-piece backless bodysuit, sport bras, and in leggings. The line varies in price starting from 49 to 89 dollars and will be available for pre-order now on rue107.com starting this Friday, May 5.
