Shoewear brand Converse just announced a new collaboration with a couple of streetwear labels. The Boston-based brand unveiled the partnerships this past Wednesday with a highlight on the Los Angeles market.

The company held a preview in downtown Los Angeles to show off its collaborations. Converse partnered with shops Babylon and RSVP Gallery for the preview. Streetwear labels Clot and Rokit were also part of the new project. All together, Converse showed off a emerging fashion artists in the city with an emphasis on city culture. “I see a certain sense of pride in different groups," Matt Sleep, global design director for footwear special projects, told WWD. "They’ve grown up with sports culture, which is obviously burgeoning, and you see a lot more sport influence in fashion today. It’s a mix and proliferation of those things together and the time is really now for Los Angeles.”

The collection includes various lifestyle pieces consisting of t-shirts, tank tops, track suits, and footwear. The price range for the L.A. line ranges approximately from 45 to 150 dollars, according to WWD. The collection also includes three variations of sneakers including the One Star Court Classic, Chuck Taylor, and the Converse Fast Break. "Through their respective perspectives, each collection is a response to the city and riffs off Converse’s basketball heritage," the company stated through Nike.com. Converse will release the collaboration globally this weekend on February 10.
