Current/Elliott has partnered with cult designer and fashion muse, Susie Cave, to create a womenswear capsule collection in collaboration with Cave’s label, The Vampire’s Wife, for holiday 2019. The two Los Angeles-centric brands have teamed up to infuse The Vampire’s Wife’s “Old Hollywood hand” aesthetic with Current/Elliott’s “borrowed from the boys” West Coast ease – creating a 10‐piece assortment in denim, leather, liberty floral and knits. Cave’s signature ruffle‐rimmed “Kate” dress has been re‐imagined in denim and leather, alongside both culotte and high‐waisted, wide‐leg pant silhouettes.

Entertainment icon Cher and her legendary 1970’s denim look was the design inspiration for the collection. “The designer collaboration concept is not new to us – with Current/Elliott being one of the first brands to implement the concept with Marni back in 2010,” said James Miller, CEO of Current/Elliott., in a statement. “The Vampire’s Wife injects a nostalgic and glamourous Hollywood sensibility to our deeply‐rooted Californian handcrafted denim DNA; a mix that feels wildly fresh and unexpected, but undeniably synergistic.”

“I am delighted to have collaborated with Current/Elliott,” adds Susie Cave, founder and creative director of The Vampire’s Wife, in a statement. “I am very excited to see my classic ‘Mini Kate’ dress in black leather and denim, and have loved designing the perfect pair of Led Zeppelin inspired jeans and blouses. And, of course I have to thank my idol Cher, and her classic denim look, for being my inspiration.”

Price points for The Current/Elliott + The Vampire’s Wife collection range from 128 dollars to 1028 dollars. The collection is currently available on currentelliott.com, in Current/Elliott stores, and with select retailers worldwide.
