A new direct-to-consumer brand about to launch in Los Angeles. From the minds of locals Adam Drawas and Jennifer Walker, Cut + Sew is set to debut next week as a new basics Los Angeles line.
Drawas and Walker both tapped t-shirt designer Kair Weiner in order to launch the new brand. The line will officially be available online starting December 5. The line ranges from t-shirts, v-necks, scoop neck styles, and more. With all of the pieces coming from high-quality materials, the line serves as an elevated basics lines. With a Made in LA mantra, Cut + Sew’s retail prices range up to approximately 52 dollars in price. The color scheme of the collection is mostly muted with a monochromatic palette. The brand also has a strong retro vibe including vintage versions of their clothing.
The launch coincides with the timing of Los Angeles’ formerly most known basics brand’s downfall. American Apparel is currently going through financial turmoil and may be in its second bankruptcy. It could be possible that it’s perfect timing for a launch of a new high-quality basics brand such as Cut + Sew. With the launch debuting next week, only time will tell how the brand fares in Los Angeles.
