Designer Camp for Los Angeles youth opens in July

Designer Camp, West Hollywood-based organization, announced its five-day summer program for design. The new organization will offer students a summer program starting July 6 for creative designers.

Designer Camp, founded earlier this year, is a committed organization that allows students to enroll in their program in order to become a skilled professional in the design industry. Their program focuses on fashion design, interior design, fashion merchandising, trend forecasting and more. The community is targeted towards Los Angeles’ youth in design. The community is comprised of industry professionals that can offer a behind-the-scenes approach on the design industry. In the five-day program, students will engage in hands-on workshops, classes, and will hear keynote speaker presentations.

West Hollywood Design District adds Designer Camp

The camp will take place at West Hollywood Library’s Meeting Room and will take place for six hours from Monday to Friday. The program also includes guided towards through West Hollywood’s famous Design District. The community will travel to different showrooms, boutiques, and to plazas such as the Beverly Center. The program will briefly touch on all aspects of the design industry including days focused on fashion, interior, and overviews of design. As of now the design professionals who will be teaching the classes are yet to be announced.

West Hollywood is known for showcasing young talents in the greater Los Angeles area. Westweek and Legends Week are two of the city’s designer showcase events for West Hollywood. Known for its Design District, West Hollywood is quickly becoming one the Los Angeles’ target areas for design.

Designer Camp became established earlier this year. The registration for the five-day summer class is 750 dollars before June 1. After June, the registration is 900 dollars. The full curriculum involves face-to-face interaction, guest speakers, design classes, tours, and more. The camp studio is located on Melrose Avenue, Robertson Boulevard, and Beverly Boulevard.
