With see-now-buy-now taking over the culture of fashion shows, it’s only natural that designers would start to come up with more, unique ways to showcase their lines. Starting this upcoming January, Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared2 will be introducing both their menswear and womenswear collections side by side.

According to the duo, the two collections go well with each other, making the dual showings a pretty fluid transition. By combining both menswear and womenswear, the two can now debut two pre-collections and two main collections throughout the year. Although made for distinctly different audiences, the apparel for the Dsquared2 man complements the Dsquared2 woman, and vice versa.

For the brand, this is a pretty interesting move as most designers stick to menswear or womenswear for their fashion shows. However, the idea of bringing together both mens’ and womens’ for one seamless show seems to further unique the brand. Being able to work together as a team on the same collections will also provide for better, more focused ready-to-wear lines. Although still primarily known for its men's clothing (WWD reports that it accounts for 60 percent of the company’s sales), it's possible that by adding womens’ clothing in; it could greatly help the sales by showing equal attention to both lines.
