DTLA's Urban Outfitters hosts pop-up party for local vendors

Urban Outfitters on Spring and Ninth Street recently held a pop-up event featuring local fashion vendors. The event was held Saturday May 30.

Spring Street is typically known for its boutiques due to its prime location in the fashion district. Neighboring local fashion shops, Urban Outfitters is one of the more well-known chains in the downtown area. The bohemian clothing shop featured about seven vendors offering their various styles. The vendors including different labels ranging from apparel, accessories, and jewelry.

Labels present including Valley High, Penelope’s Vintage, Phraseology, Tannery LA, and Quay eyewear. Valley High is known for their streetwear including hats, tank tops, and apparel reflecting a lifestyle brand. Phraseology carries crocheted pieces that reflect a bohemian vibe, along with locally-made jewelry. Tannery LA is known for its handbags, including its various leather goods. Alongside the vendors were entertainment for customers. The event included drinks and live DJ for music entertainment. The owners of each pop-up were present representing their brands.

Urban Outfitters currently operates more than 200 stores in the United States, Canada and Europe. The store was founded in 1970 and approximately has over 10,000 employees. The apparel brand is known for also stocking music, art, and home decor.
