Wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson is honoring members of the military by helping to create a new line for Under Armour.
The collection, which coincides with the Veterans Day holiday, is part of his Project Rock athletic brand and features T-shirts, hoodies and sweatpants – all in shades of army colors. The pieces feature a graphic of the star’s motto Blood, Sweat, RESPECT. As part of the release, he is also revisiting his Project Rock 1 sneaker design, which now has a reinforced structure.
"Warriors, come out to play," he wrote in an Instagram post ahead of the line’s release. "This upcoming Veteran's Day, we honor the hardest working men and women in America. Soldiers that thru (sic) grit, guts and loyalty always get the job done. Myself and @underarmour designed a brand new collection honoring these warriors.”
Along with the capsule, are special workout friendly wireless headphones with a camouflage colorway. Proceeds from the items will go towards the charity Team Rubicon.
"This new collection is not just in honor of those who serve, it's in support of them,” he also posted on social media. “Our donation supports @teamrubicon. The veteran-run organization doing incredible work in disaster relief and veteran integration. #ProjectRock #UAFreedom #RESPECT #VeteransDayCollection.”
The Veterans Day Collection is part of the Under Armour Freedom initiative, which aims to pay tribute to members of the armed forces through fashion.
Johnson, once known as The Rock, joined forces with Under Armour beginning in January 2016. In April he appeared in the brand’s Will Finds A Way campaign and later saw his initial launch of the Rock 1 sneaker sell out in less than 24 hours.
