After launching a successful lifestyle collection earlier this year, comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has decided to foray into footwear.

DeGeneres’ lifestyle collection, the ED collection, recently confirmed a new multi-year deal with Camuto group to bring in new shoes and sneakers for the label. Under this agreement, DeGeneres will add footwear including sneakers that reflect the comedian’s casual everyday style. The idea to bring in shoes was to exemplify the designer’s personal fashion style. “[Now] you can literally walk a mile in my shoes, or even further if you choose,” DeGeneres told WWD of her footwear addition to the label. The footwear launch will debut next year in spring. The launch will involve a lot of interaction through DeGeneres’ fan base. “We are focusing on footwear to begin with and are open to exploring additional opportunities together as the brand develops,” chief executive officer of Camuto Group Alex Del Cielo told WWD.

The current label includes tailored button down shirts, drawstring pants, baseball hats, jackets, shorts, and more. Fabrics for the line include woven shirts, cotton French terry sweatshirts, Italian fabrics and more. Varying by piece, the collection ranges in price from 25 to 396, keeping it true to her target audience’s budget. The name of the collection spurred from DeGeneres’ wife Portia de Rossi’s long-standing nickname for the entertainer. Themes throughout the line include happiness and joy which are embroidered on several pieces. In addition to apparel, the collection offers home decor promoting positive messages. The collection has been prosperous so far, earning over 300,000 registered users within 24 hours of its launch in June. The entire line is available through DeGeneres’ e-commerce site.
