eShakti offers customizable denim line

Online retailer eShakti recently just announced the launch of customizable jeans. For womenswear only, the new feature will be available this fall 2016.

The aim of this new customizable option is to fill the lack of well-fitting jeans in the fashion industry. "Clothes must meet every woman's expectation of looking and feeling her best, which is why we produce quality custom clothing in a way that is simple, fast and affordable," BG Krishnan, founder and chief executive officer of eShakti, said in a statement. The new denim collection will feature four basic jean styles including bootcut, straight, skinny, and girlfriend. The jeans will also be available in different colors and washes including black and indigo. Created from over 90 percent of cotton denim, the jeans are made to fit and adjust to specific body types. The pieces range in price from 79.95 dollars to 89.95 dollars in sizes from petite to plus size.

The website also allows the customizable options in a more accessible way for customers. "[The] website is easy to use and enables any woman to easily choose her preferred size and length," said Carmella Heverin, chief design officer of eShakti. The online site includes made-to-order processing so that women will not need alterations to their denim. Offering these types of jeans in customizable options is one way for the company to help fill this gap in the market for apt-fitting clothing. Additionally in the future, eShakti plans to offer a full line of custom denim skirts, dress, and shirts as well.
