Phoebe Dahl, a Los Angeles native, is a well-known fashion designer now taking her charitable fashion brand to Urban Outfitters.

At age 14, Dahl was taught how to sew by a friend, and continued those skills eventually leading to her designer days. Dahl studied at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in San Francisco, as well as the London College of Fashion.

Dahl began her own fashion brand in 2013 named Faircloth & Supply. The brand, inspired by Japanese fabrics and styles, has been reprised in Faircloth & Supply, with 100 percent linen handcrafted materials. The vibe of the brand reflects an easygoing feminine but edgy fashion. Pieces include dresses, button-down blouses, and bloomers. The company embodies women empowerment, creating ethical fashion choices for consumers of the fashion industry.

On March 6, seven pieces from Faircloth & Supply relaunched in Urban Outfitters stores as well as on their online retailer. The company agreed to donated school supplies and uniforms as well as a one-year scholarship to a girl in Nepal by working with General Welfare Pratisthan (GWP). GWP is a non-governmental organization that works within 20 districts of Nepal. The organization has been able to reach over 500,000 beneficiaries through multi-sectoral programming. The company works with the nonprofit in order to reduce the number of Nepalese women and girls involved in sex trade trafficking. Working with the organization, Dahl’s brand has helped almost 1,500 girls in Nepal.
